The Armbie

It works as described but I would buy one size larger then recommended. I got a large and can use it but it is too restrictive.

Hypermobile person with HSD:

I ordered the medium, thought it didn't quite offer enough support, asked for the small, which was, indeed, too small, and went back to using the medium. I do feel a bit like there needs to be an in-between size there.

I also feel that it can sometimes pull on my neck vs. taking the weight off my shoulders. But it is a nice way to try and catch a nap while seated or be able to use your phone or hold a book without so much shoulder strain.

I can’t give a fair review of this product because I emailed Armbie to seek an exchange. If I am anything to go by, these are generously sized.

I got no response to my request so I guess I will be donating this one.

I first saw this this product in a TikTok being discussed by someone who is hypermobile as a potential aid - as someone who has issues with my shoulders especially on long flights/car rides or when reading for long periods or time, I was intrigued. I tend to sublux my shoulders a lot which can not only lead to discomfort but trigger migraines, so in planning a trip abroad I decided to give Armbie a try - BEST IDEA EVER! I have never been so comfortable sitting in my life. I willingly took the middle seat on the plain. I had no shoulder/upper back pain at all. It was supper comfortable both for just supporting my arms for sleeping/resting and for supporting my e-reader or phone. The little pocket that it folds into was super convenient both for storing itself but also for holding my phone/headphones when I had it unfolded/having as a focal point for remembering which way I had oriented it. Also love the clip so I could easily attach it to my backpack. I usually wear a unisex Large or a women's XL and go the medium and that seems to be the tight size for me. To me it isn't claustrophobic or particularly warm but it is still a constricting fabric so if you are weird about texture or prone to overheating keep that in mind. I have already recommended to others and will be gifting to a friend.

Just received my Armbie, I need to test it on a plane, but I have tried it at home, finally figured out how to properly fit it, feels good! I watched a few Armbie videos on YouTube to help me figure out how to wear it.
